Low Allergenic Deodorants and Antiperspirants

Updated: May 24, 2024

Most adults are in the habit of swiping deodorant or antiperspirant under their arms as a part of their daily hygiene routine. Both deodorant and antiperspirant products are meant to keep your body smelling fresh, even as your body temperature rises and you begin to sweat. When you get redness, itching, or flaking skin where you applied deodorant or antiperspirant, it’s a sign that you might be allergic or sensitive to something in the product.

Below is a list of low allergenic deodorants and antiperspirants:

Certain Dri® (Antiperspirant)

Secret Soft Solid Platinum Deodorant Unscented (Deodorant)

Stiefel B-Drier (Antiperspirant/Deodorant) Vanicream Deodorant for Sensitive Skin (aluminum-free)

Vanicream Antiperspirant/Deodorant

Allergens to look for on labels that you should try to AVOID include:

  • fragrance (sometimes labelled parfum)

  • balsam of peru

  • propylene glycol

  • lanolin

  • essential oils and biologic additives

  • vitamin E
