Hypermobility-aware care

Care for the EDS & Hypermobility Community

If you're hypermobile, your symptoms often span several parts of the body at once, and they tend to be connected rather than a set of separate, unrelated problems. This practice is set up to look at the whole picture rather than one symptom at a time.

Ehlers-Danlos syndromes and hypermobility spectrum disorders affect connective tissue throughout the body, so symptoms cluster in predictable ways: unstable, clicking, painful jaws; chronic migraine and headache; neck and shoulder tension from muscles working overtime to stabilize lax joints; and dysautonomia that can disrupt temperature regulation and sweating. These aren't coincidences - they're connected. And several of them respond well to carefully planned therapeutic Botox and trigger point injections.

To be clear about scope: Dr. Baldwin doesn't diagnose or manage EDS itself - diagnosis and overall coordination stay with your family physician and, where needed, specialists. What she offers is targeted treatment of the symptoms that hit hypermobile patients hardest - TMJ and jaw pain, chronic migraine, and excessive sweating - using therapeutic Botox and trigger point injections, planned around your connective tissue rather than despite it.

What Hypermobility-Aware Treatment Means Here

Conditions Commonly Treated

Botox and trigger point injections address specific symptoms - they aren't a treatment for EDS itself, and it works best as one part of a broader care plan alongside your other providers. You'll get an honest assessment of what it can and can't do for your situation.
